It is quite normal to expect people to want to look attractive and this might explain why anti-ageing skin care products are so successful; which is not surprising because we are all living longer and fuller lives so why shouldn’t we want to look younger? The skin care industry uses beauty products that increase the synthesis of the protein collagen, the main protein in skin which becomes less elastic as we age; with around a quarter of our skin protein being collagen, the importance of this substance has not gone unnoticed. Most anti-ageing products (collagen included) fall into a category of natural everyday products we all use; this group is called antioxidants which are natural chemicals found in many foods and our body.
You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. Unfortunately all skin care treatments that use vitamin C have the problem of atmospheric oxidization to contend with once the product is exposed to the air.
To get around this some skin care treatments are based on derivatives of vitamin C, which are more stable and less expensive. Unfortunately the anti-oxidant products used to replace vitamin C are not as effective but as vitamin E and lipoic acid can both have the same effect; this is not too much of a problem.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body’s immune system; it has been linked to resistance to a number of conditions including certain types of cancer. On the other hand, lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid is necessary for energy production which keeps us alive; it is also able to help reduce and restore the skin’s aging process.
The use of plants has not been overlooked either with many types able to provide essences called phytochemicals which have proved successful in anti-ageing skin care products. Like lipoic acid, phytochemicals help reduce the occurrence of cancers; for example:
* Cancer that attacks the Prostate
* Cancer of the Breast
* Cancer that attacks the Colon
These are some of the most common (and increasingly so) cancers in the world today.
Surprisingly, the group of vitamins; B5, B6, and B12 have also shown that they can be used to help reduce the effects of ageing. The field of anti-ageing skin care products is vast and needs a great deal more research. There is no doubt that what has been learned so far is only a small part of the jigsaw puzzle; there is still a long way to go however, before methods that successfully reduce the effects of age are commonplace.
Hopefully, these challenges will get resolved in due course and better and cheaper anti-ageing skin care products will be produced. A person should never accept that everything science devises in relation to skin care and anti-aging is always going to be the best; in some respects the real way ahead lies in our own hands as there are many things we can do to reduce the signs of aging - naturally. You know all these things but how many do you practice? Regular exercise, restful sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating a healthy diet and keeping your stress levels low are all necessary.

First, to be successful at losing the weight you’ve set out to lose, you must determine what being successful means to you then decide how to achieve that success.
Is it a number on a scale? Or the size of your clothes? Perhaps better health is desired. In general, if a healthful eating plan is followed, proper nutrients are part of the diet whether through the food you eat or by using weight loss supplements and exercise is part of your daily routine ?” it is possible to be successful. To achieve real success in you weight loss efforts ?” a healthy lifestyle and keeping weight off forever should be considered the ultimate goal. The odds are against people trying to lose weight. Many studies have shown that people who lose weight by dieting are more likely to gain all the weight back that they lost - plus additional weight. Losing weight successfully does not occur by dieting, but by changing your lifestyle ?” permanently. Here are some tips for lifestyle changes that will result in weight loss and overall better health.
1. First decide that you are going to lose weight permanently ?” not to get down to a number on a scale, but you are going to change your bad habits to good habits for the rest of your life. Weight loss.
2. Do not go on a diet. Learn as much as you can about healthful eating; cooking healthy foods for yourself and your family; and portion control. Sometimes it’s not the foods that we eat that are so bad, but the amount of food that we eat is too much. Add a dietary or natural weight loss supplement to your plan until you know you are getting the necessary nutrients through your food.
3. Do not remove your favorite foods from your life ?” but limit them and occasionally treat yourself to something you love.
4. Weigh yourself every day. It’s important to keep track of your weight. See when your weight fluctuates and make changes if your weight continues to go in the wrong direction.
5. Add physical activity to your life. If you are not used to exercise ?” it can be difficult ?” perhaps even overwhelming to start. Start slow and try and find physical activities that you like to do such as gardening, walking with a friend or even disc golf. Not everybody likes to exercise ?” especially when just getting started ?” but the benefits to increasing your physical activity are tremendous.
These are just a few tips to help loss weight successfully. The most important factor in being successful is to not diet, but to change your lifestyle. Changing your lifestyle will change your health; your well-being; and your life.
